Rural Students Should Aim High: Raju Reddy at District Science Quiz

The Joint Nizamabad District Level Science Quiz-2025, organized by the Prohibition and Excise Department to raise awareness about narcotics, was held successfully at the Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium in Nizamabad. A total of 552 students from 71 schools across Kamareddy and Nizamabad districts participated. The event featured Raju Reddy, founder of Kakatiya Sandbox, as the chief guest, alongside DEO Ashok, Additional DCP Baswareddy, and Professor Dr. Vishal.

The competition began with a preliminary test of 25 questions, after which 12 top-performing students advanced to the final round. Additional DCP Baswareddy encouraged students to stay away from drugs and spread awareness among their peers. Raju Reddy emphasized that rural students should aim high and avoid distractions like narcotics to achieve their goals.

In the final quiz, conducted by Quiz Master Dhanush Reddy in six engaging rounds, B. Dinesh Kumar and Abhay Vivek Siddhartha from Bansal Junior College, Nizamabad, secured first place with 110 marks. A. Tarun and P. Sharan Tej from Mubarak Nagar Vijay School came second with 100 marks, while R. Vinay Kumar and B. Lokesh from Little Hearts School, Dharpalli, claimed third place with 75 marks.

DEO Ashok commended the Excise Department for organizing such events, which he said guide students toward positive ambitions. The program concluded with prizes distributed to the winners and commendations for all participants. Excise officials and staff from Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts attended, lauding the event’s success in inspiring students.
