MLA Pawar Ramarao Patel Conducts Surprise Inspection at Basara IIIT

MLA Pawar Ramarao Patel conducted a surprise inspection at Basara IIIT on Friday, following recent incidents of student unrest and the tragic suicide of Swathi, a student at the institution. The MLA interacted with students to understand their grievances and addressed the reasons behind such incidents.

During his visit, the MLA urged students to avoid taking extreme steps like suicide, emphasizing that education is the key to building a bright future. He advised students to communicate any issues directly with him or their mentors and to seek help from peers, parents, or faculty. “Challenges can be overcome with determination, and education is the greatest asset one can possess,” he said.

MLA Ramarao Patel also had lunch with the students and reviewed the facilities, including teaching, sports, and hostel amenities. He held discussions with Vice-Chancellor Govardhan, highlighting the need for proactive measures to prevent student suicides. He also inquired about the placement opportunities being provided to students and discussed the companies offering jobs to graduates.

Faculty members raised several concerns during the visit, which the MLA promised to address by bringing them to the attention of both state and central governments. He assured them that steps would be taken to resolve these issues promptly.

The MLA reiterated his commitment to prioritizing education and reminded everyone that he had raised the institution’s issues in the Assembly before. He assured the students that all necessary facilities would be provided and urged them not to worry about their future.

Former Bhainsa Market Committee Chairman Rajesh Babu, leader Vengal Rao, and others accompanied the MLA during the visit.
