A girldad refers to a man who parents only daughters, a term that gained traction after Kobe Bryant’s tragic death in 2020 in a helicopter crash. Many fathers embraced the hashtag to express pride in raising daughters, inspired by Bryant’s relationship with his daughter Gianna, who also perished in the crash.
