Kaghaznagar DSP B. Ramanujam emphasized the importance of ensuring robust security arrangements at all bank branches and ATM centers in the town. On Tuesday, he conducted a review meeting with the town inspector P. Rajendra Prasad and sub-inspector Sudhakar at the Kaghaznagar police station to discuss security measures for these establishments.

During the meeting, DSP Ramanujam stressed the necessity of taking preventive measures to avoid any incidents at banks and ATMs. He instructed the concerned authorities to ensure that all banks and ATM centers adhere to the designated security protocols.

He mentioned that each bank branch should have an electronic alarm system in place and should be equipped with fully functional CCTV cameras both inside and outside the premises. Security guards at ATM centers should remain alert and take appropriate precautions, he added.

Furthermore, DSP Ramanujam advised ensuring that there are no duplicate keys for cash and gold locker safes and instructed that all rooms in the bank, including stationary rooms and dining areas, should be locked securely. He also emphasized that security personnel should only focus on security duties and refrain from engaging in any other tasks.

In addition, he reiterated that no dangerous items or weapons should be allowed inside bank premises, and items like helmets and masks should be banned. In case of any emergencies, he assured that the alarm system would directly notify the police control room for prompt action.

The meeting was attended by bank controllers, bank managers, and relevant officials.
