Wear Helmets, Save Lives: Raj Gopal Reddy’s Road Safety Initiative

In a bid to promote road safety and prevent fatalities, Munugode MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy conducted a helmet awareness campaign and distributed 300 free helmets through the Suseelamma Foundation. The initiative aligns with the Telangana Transport Department’s month-long road safety awareness programs in January.

Starting from his personal camp office, MLA Raj Gopal Reddy led a bike rally through the streets of Munugode, emphasizing the importance of wearing helmets. During the rally, he personally stopped bikers without helmets and ensured they wore one on the spot. Addressing the gathering, he expressed concern over the rising number of road accidents and fatalities involving youth due to negligence and lack of safety measures.

“Many young lives are lost due to accidents. Wearing a helmet can save lives and is a simple yet crucial step for safety,” he said. He urged commuters traveling from Munugode to other places for work to prioritize safety by wearing helmets.

Raj Gopal Reddy also announced plans for a larger awareness drive on road safety in the coming days, reiterating his commitment to reducing road accidents in the region.
