The Christmas cheer brought an unexpected yet exciting announcement—Kartik Aaryan will star in Karan Johar's upcoming film! Ending months of speculation about their supposed fallout, the filmmaker shared the news on Instagram, unveiling the title of their project: Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. The romantic comedy, directed by Sameer Vidwans, is slated for a 2026 release.
The teaser video opens with Kartik's voice narrating his turbulent love life, where three breakups led to heartbreak for his partners. Determined to change, he pledges to be the perfect partner for his fourth girlfriend, hilariously tying his resolution to a "mummy ki kasam." The nostalgic 1991 hit Saat Samundar Paar plays in the background, adding charm to the announcement.
Kartik re-shared the announcement on Instagram, captioning it, “Tumhara RAY aa raha hai RUMI. Mummy ki khaayi hui kasam, yeh Mumma's boy poori karke he rehta hai! Super excited to return to my fav genre Rom-com. Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. The biggest love story coming to cinemas in 2026.”
