District Collector Trippathi says, “Anything is possible if girls are educated” on National Girl Child Day

On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, a rally was organized by the District Women and Child Welfare Department, which was flagged off by District Collector Trippathi at Clock Tower, Nalgonda, with students and women participating. During the event, a poster on the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign was also released.

Speaking on the occasion, District Collector Trippathi emphasized the importance of educating girls, stating that if they are educated, they can achieve anything. She further encouraged girls to aim for becoming teachers or even Prime Ministers. The Collector also urged girls to develop an interest in sports in addition to academics. She engaged with the students, asking them about the benefits of education and the reasons behind pursuing it, thereby sparking interest among the participants.

District Legal Services Authority Secretary, Senior Civil Judge B. Deepti, highlighted the importance of equal opportunities for girls. She stressed that parents should treat girls equally and not show any discrimination, ensuring that girls have the right to inheritance and equal treatment in all areas of life.

The event was attended by Nalgonda Municipal Chairman Burri Srinivas Reddy, Vice Chairman Abbogoni Ramesh Goud, Child Welfare Committee Chairman Chinta Krishna, District Women and Child Welfare Officer Krishnaveni, Juvenile Justice Board Member Mohan Rao, Child Welfare Committee Member Venkanna, Girl Child Welfare Officer Sarita, CDPO Supervisors, and Anganwadi staff.

The rally and discussions highlighted the significance of empowering girls through education and equality, inspiring all to contribute to a brighter future for the girl child.
