Interstate Burglar Arrested in Karimnagar

Deccan Freedom News,

Karimnagar, December 10:

Karimnagar One Town Police successfully cracked a burglary case, arresting an interstate thief and recovering stolen items including a 16-gram gold chain, a 4-gram gold ring, a Samsung LED TV, and 46 grams of silver ornaments.

The incident occurred last month when Uppugundla Muralikrishna’s mother, a resident of Satavahana Colony in Karimnagar’s Kattarampur, returned home on November 23 to find the locks on her house broken. A thorough search revealed missing valuables, including 20 grams of gold jewelry, 46 grams of silver ornaments, and a television. Following her immediate complaint, One Town Inspector Billa Koteshwar registered a case and initiated an investigation.

To apprehend the culprit, two special teams were formed. During routine vehicle checks near Gautami Nagar on Tuesday, police found a suspicious individual, later identified as Kandula Satyanarayana, alias Sattibabu (50), from Cheruvu Gattu village in Mandapeta Mandal, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. Upon interrogation, Satyanarayana confessed to the crime, leading to his arrest and subsequent remand to jail.

Inspector Koteshwar revealed that Satyanarayana is a habitual offender with over 20 cases registered against him in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He has also served multiple jail terms for similar offenses.

The swift action by the Karimnagar One Town Police has brought relief to the victims and serves as a deterrent to such criminal activities in the region.
