The Praja Palana Gram Sabhas commenced in Adilabad district on Tuesday to select eligible beneficiaries for various welfare schemes. District Collector Rajarshi Shah inaugurated the sessions at Sammakka village, Indervelli mandal, and participated in similar events at Pipri and Umri villages in Utnoor mandal.

The Collector outlined key welfare programs, including Rythu Bharosa, providing ₹12,000 per acre to farmers, and Indiramma Aatmiya Bharosa, offering ₹12,000 annually to agricultural laborers without land. He urged villagers to verify beneficiary lists displayed during the Sabha and report objections to officials.

Selected beneficiaries’ names were read publicly, and new applications were accepted. The Collector assured that all applications would be reviewed, ensuring benefits reach deserving individuals without delays.

The events featured active participation from Sub-Collector Yuvaraj Marmat, special officers, agricultural officers, gram patels, panchayat secretaries, MPOs, and local residents, with the Collector emphasizing transparency and trust in the process.
