Celebrating Public Governance Success at Adilabad Bus Station

Adilabad, December 5, 

As part of the “Praja Palana Vijayotsavam” initiated by the Telangana State Government on December 1, 2024, celebrations were held today at the Adilabad Bus Station. The event was graced by Zainath Market Committee Chairman Ashok Reddy and District Collector Rajarshi Shah, along with Regional Manager P. Solomon, Adilabad Depot Manager K. Kalpana, employees, and passengers.

During the event, TSRTC officials explained the government’s Mahalakshmi Scheme, which provides free travel for women on RTC buses. Since its launch on December 9, 2023, the scheme has been implemented efficiently, ensuring hassle-free travel for women on Palle Velugu and Express buses. Proper training has been provided to conductors and drivers to facilitate the scheme’s success. To date, an average of 35,680 women passengers have benefitted from free travel under this flagship initiative of Telangana’s visionary Chief Minister.

To mark the success of the scheme, the Adilabad Bus Station has been beautifully decorated with lights since December 1, 2024, symbolizing the continued commitment of RTC officials and employees to public welfare and efficient governance.
