Grand Observance of National Road Safety Month

The Rajanna Sircilla district’s transport department organized a road safety awareness program on Monday, where reflective stickers were affixed to vehicles for improved visibility. The event, held as part of National Road Safety Month, saw Senior Civil Judge and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Radhika Jaiswal, as the chief guest.

Addressing drivers, Radhika Jaiswal emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules, urging them to avoid drunk driving, over-speeding, and neglecting seat belts. She stressed the necessity for two-wheeler riders to wear helmets at all times. During the event, those following safety norms were rewarded with sweets and gifts, while violators were gently counseled and presented with roses to encourage compliance.

RTO Officer V. Lakshman, Motor Vehicle Inspector G. Vamsidhar, Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors Rajani Devi and Prudhviraj Varma, and constables Ramya, Soumya, and Prashant were present. Home Guard Ellayya and staff members Kalpana and Shravan also participated. Tractor-Trailer Association President Patiraj Kumar, along with around 100 vehicle owners and drivers, actively engaged in the program.

The initiative highlighted the importance of road safety and sought to foster responsible driving habits in the community.
