Protest Against Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Remarks on Ambedkar

Leaders of the Caste Discrimination Struggle Committee (KVPS), including Paladugu Nagarjuna and public organization leader Pandula Saidulu, strongly condemned Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his controversial remarks on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, stating that such comments insult the people of the country. They demanded an immediate apology from Amit Shah.
A protest was held at Subhash Chandra Bose’s statue in Nalgonda district center on Thursday under the leadership of KVPS, where Amit Shah’s effigy was burnt. Speaking at the event, the leaders criticized the remarks as stemming from a Manusmriti ideology, which they said is disrespectful to the marginalized and weaker sections of society.
KVPS District Assistant Secretary Gade Narasimha, Bollo Ravinder, CITU District President Chinnapaka Lakshminarayana, Telangana Pradesh Erukala Sangham District President Manupati Bikshamiah, DYFI District Secretary Mallam Mahesh, AIDWA District Assistant Secretary Konda Anuradha, and other leaders including Mannem Biksham, Paripoorna Chary, Addanki Ravinder, Shankar Shiva, and Saidulu participated in the protest. They reiterated their demand for an unconditional apology from Amit Shah for his comments on Ambedkar, who is revered as a symbol of equality and justice in the country.
