Grand Celebration of 78th Home Guards Raising Day in Karimnagar

Karimnagar, December 6:

The 78th Home Guards Raising Day was celebrated with grandeur at the Karimnagar Commissionerate under the leadership of Police Commissioner Abhishek Mohanty, IPS. The event, held on Friday, was also graced by Probationary IPS officer Yadav Vasundhara Fowrabi.

Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Abhishek Mohanty emphasized the significance of Home Guards in the police department. He stated that Home Guards play a vital role across all police units, including Blue Colts, traffic management, law and order duties, and night patrolling. He commended their exceptional performance during the recently concluded Assembly and Parliament elections, highlighting their dedication and discipline.

He further remarked that once in uniform, all are equal, and as Home Guards frequently interact with the public, their disciplined conduct greatly enhances the department’s reputation.

To recognize their outstanding contributions, 15 Home Guards from the Karimnagar Commissionerate were awarded certificates of appreciation and mementos for their exemplary service.

Additional DCP A. Lakshminarayana, Reserve Inspectors Modem Suresh (Home Guards), Sridhar Reddy (Welfare), along with other officials, Home Guards, and staff, participated in the event.
