Nirmal Collector Reviews Balashakti Program

Nirmal District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav directed officials to ensure the systematic implementation of the Balashakti program. During a review meeting held on Friday evening at the Collectorate, she emphasized the importance of safeguarding the health of students to secure their bright futures.
The Collector instructed that medical camps be organized in government educational institutions as part of the Balashakti program. Comprehensive health check-ups should be conducted for all students, and appropriate treatment or nutritional support should be recommended for identified ailments. Health cards must be issued for every student, and parents should be informed about their children’s health conditions.
Additionally, the Collector stressed the need for financial literacy among students. She instructed bank officials to conduct awareness programs at the grassroots level, covering daily banking transactions, government loan schemes, and precautions against cybercrimes. She also directed that essay competitions and mock parliamentary sessions be organized in schools to raise awareness about the Constitution, democracy, and India’s electoral process.
The Collector further urged officials to enhance students’ computer literacy and ensure effective execution of the Balashakti program to support their overall development.
The review meeting was attended by Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Faizan Ahmed, DEO P. Ramarao, DMHO Rajender, DRDO Vijayalakshmi, Lead Bank Manager Ram Gopal, and officials from the education and health departments.
