Tank Bund Destroyed in Kasipeta, Water Wasted Temporary Repairs by Irrigation Staff

In a shocking incident in Kasipeta village of Tandur Mandal, Mancherial district, unidentified miscreants destroyed the bund of the Rangasamudram tank on Tuesday, causing water to flow out wastefully. Upon receiving complaints from the public, irrigation officials acted swiftly and carried out temporary repairs on Wednesday by filling the breached area with sandbags.
Farmers in the area expressed their frustration and urged the police to apprehend the culprits, suspected to be scrap thieves, and take strict action against them.
Local residents lauded the timely intervention of the irrigation department but emphasized the need for permanent solutions to prevent such incidents in the future.
