Sports Are as Important as Education for Students: Additional Collector Faizan Ahmed

Nirmal: District Local Bodies Additional Collector Faizan Ahmed emphasized the importance of sports alongside education for students. He visited the ongoing CM Cup competitions on their third day at the Government Degree College grounds in the town.

Speaking on the occasion, the Additional Collector stated that the CM Cup serves as a platform to identify and nurture the sporting talents of students, particularly from rural areas. He encouraged the development of a healthy competitive spirit among students across all fields and highlighted the role of sports in improving both physical and mental health. Faizan Ahmed urged the participants to give their best performances at the district level and secure positions in the state-level competitions, extending his best wishes to the athletes.

He also directed the officials to ensure that the players face no inconveniences during the games. The Additional Collector, accompanied by District Youth and Sports Officer Srikanth Reddy and other officials, visited the matches being held at the NTR Mini Stadium.

The event was attended by DSP Gangareddy, athletes, officials, and staff members, who actively participated in making the competitions successful.
