In a remarkable event, journalist-turned-artist Arava Jayapal, the founder of Praja Kalavedika, presented national awards to outstanding individuals at the Tirupati Press Club. Known for his contributions as a journalist, poet, writer, and actor, Arava Jayapal has been an advocate for recognizing those who serve society with dedication and integrity.
The event began with a tribute to excellence in various fields. Dr. Roja Ramana, Professor of Surgery at SV Medical College, received the Mother Teresa National Award for her exceptional service in the medical field. Renowned poet Surendra Reddy was honored with the Sirivennela National Award for penning lyrics for the film Shishiram. Additionally, teacher and social activist Gorti Venkata Swami Naidu, president of the Rayalaseema Praja Samakhya, was awarded the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan National Award for his contributions to education and society.
The ceremony, which marked the sixth event organized by Praja Kalavedika, celebrated the spirit of service and excellence. Gutta Hari Sarvottama Naidu, State President of SriSri Kalavedika, officiated as the program’s moderator, highlighting the importance of honoring those who inspire societal progress.
