Efforts are underway to transform Kondaparthi village, adopted by the Telangana Governor, into a model village, stated District Collector Divakar T.S. During his visit to the village in Thadvai Mandal on Thursday, the Collector held a Gram Sabha with officials and residents to assess the necessary facilities and development requirements.
Collector Divakar highlighted that during the Governor’s visit to Mulugu district last year, MLA and Minister Smt. Danasari Anasuya Seethakka had requested the adoption of a village. The Governor positively responded and chose Kondaparthi, marking it as a significant opportunity for development.
The village is set to receive a Skill Development Center equipped with solar organizing systems for training in tailoring and masala making. The Collector directed officials to construct compound walls, toilets, and ensure water supply for schools and Anganwadi centers. He also instructed the preparation of proposals for dual desks, digital classrooms, and drainage systems.
Furthermore, each family in the village will soon receive ₹5 lakh under the Indiramma housing scheme for constructing homes. The Collector urged residents to collaborate and plan effectively for housing development.
Officials from the Tribal Welfare Department, Electricity DE Nageshwar Rao, Mission Bhagiratha, Agriculture Department, Tahsildar, MPDO, public representatives, and villagers participated in the event, which marked a step towards holistic rural development.
