Government Whip Yarlagadda Venkatrav Witnesses Makara Jyothi

Government Whip and Gannavaram MLA Yarlagadda Venkatrav participated in the sacred Makara Jyothi darshan at the renowned Ayyappa Swamy temple near Perikidu bridge, located along the Eluru canal, on Tuesday night. The event was organized under the leadership of Annapurna Agencies proprietor and Ayyappa Swamy Temple Managing Trustee, Noolu Narasimha Rao. For the past 25 years, this grand Makara Jyothi celebration has been conducted with great devotion.
Yarlagadda Venkatrav was welcomed with a traditional Poornakumbham by the temple committee. Under the supervision of head priest Srinivasa Sharma, special prayers and rituals were performed by the priests. Following the rituals, 18 devotees ceremoniously placed 18 sacred pots on the temple’s 18 steps, signifying devotion and purity. The MLA then lit the ceremonial flame on the steps, enhancing the spiritual ambiance. The chants of “Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa” echoed across Perikidu, filling the atmosphere with divine fervor.
The event witnessed a large turnout of devotees from surrounding villages, along with local residents. The Managing Trustee, Noolu Narasimha Rao, and his wife Dhanalakshmi honored the MLA and prominent participants, including Dutta Ramachandra Rao, Dasari Venkata Balavardhana Rao, and Chalamalasetti Ramesh Babu.
Key attendees included Sravanthi Charitable Trust Chairman Veeramachineni Satyaprasad, Senior Journalist and Lions Global President Tadi Rangarao, Former Gannavaram Market Committee Chairman Kotagiri Vara Prasad, ZPTC former member Sunkara Subhash Chandrabose, and prominent leaders like Vegireddy Paparao, Kolasani Durgarao, Bavireddy Murali, and Mandal TDP President Dayala Rajeshwar Rao.
The event concluded with the distribution of specially prepared prasadam to all devotees. The organizing committee’s meticulous planning and the overwhelming participation made this sacred occasion a memorable celebration.
