District Collector Rajarshi Shah Inaugurates CM Cup 2024 Sports in Adilabad

Adilabad District Collector Rajarshi Shah inaugurated the CM Cup 2024 sports competition at Chand T Zilla Parishad High School by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Highlighting the importance of sports, the Collector urged youth to actively participate, stating that sports not only build physical fitness but also strengthen mental resilience.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to sports development, announcing the formation of committees at every mandal level, chaired by tahsildars and mandal development officers. He called for seamless coordination between the education department, sports associations, and physical directors to ensure the successful organization of the events.

The CM Cup 2024 includes mandal-level competitions in kabaddi, kho-kho, athletics, yoga, volleyball, and football, scheduled from December 10 to 12. The district-level events, including additional games like badminton, basketball, chess, boxing, and swimming, will be held from December 16 to 21. The state-level competitions are set to take place from December 27 to January 2.

The Collector also underlined the significance of medical camps at sports venues and praised the critical role of physical directors in supporting athletes. He inaugurated the games with a ceremonial toss and extended his best wishes to all participants.

The event was attended by DYSO Venkateshwarlu, MPDO, association members, and locals, who actively participated in the ceremony.
