District Collector Encourages Women to Utilize “Arogya Mahila” Program

District Collector Pamela Satpathy urged members of village organizations to take full advantage of the “Arogya Mahila” program and undergo free medical tests. On Thursday, she visited the health camp organized by the Department of Health and Family Welfare at Mukthapalli Gram Panchayat premises in Thimmapur Mandal.
During her visit, the Collector inspected the arrangements and reviewed the registers. She emphasized the importance of the free medical tests offered through the program, which include 45 types of health examinations. She encouraged all women to participate and ensure they undergo these essential health checks. She also called upon village organizations to raise awareness and ensure every woman in the village avails of the program.
The Collector directed health officials to extend these camps beyond primary health centers to remote villages and identify individuals requiring treatment. She also personally underwent a hemoglobin test during her visit to the camp.
Anganwadi Center Visit
The Collector made a surprise visit to the Anganwadi center in Mukthapalli village. She reviewed attendance records, inspected the syllabus being taught, and examined the quality of nutritional supplements provided. She encouraged efforts to increase children’s attendance at the center and suggested home visits to educate parents about Anganwadi services. She also instructed officials to conduct counseling sessions for pregnant women and lactating mothers.
The event was attended by District Medical Officer Venkat Ramana, MPDO Vijay Kumar, and Coordinator Sana.
