KAMAREDDY, DEC 27
Kamareddy’s Ellareddy MLA, Madan Mohan Rao, has facilitated the distribution of financial aid worth Rs. 10 crores to 3,500 people through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) and Letters of Credit (LOCs). This initiative is aimed at assisting individuals struggling to afford medical treatments.
Speaking to Deccan Freedom News, MLA Madan Mohan Rao revealed that special staff have been appointed at the MLA Camp Office to streamline the process of application and approval for the CMRF and LOCs. He emphasized the importance of ensuring transparency and urged applicants to approach the office directly, bypassing brokers.
Over the past year, 1,500 people have received LOCs, while another 2,000 have benefited from CMRF cheques. The MLA reassured the public that cheques are being issued promptly, within two months of submitting valid medical bills and necessary documentation. These include copies of ration cards, Aadhaar cards, bank passbooks, income certificates, and medical examination reports.
MLA Madan Mohan Rao expressed his commitment to supporting the poor, citing his experiences during election campaigns, where he witnessed many families burdened by medical expenses. “People were forced to sell their property or go into debt to afford treatment. To address this, we have introduced a streamlined policy to expedite financial aid and ensure no one in need is left behind,” he said.
He further added that in cases of emergency treatment where LOCs are insufficient, hospitals must provide a detailed cost letter about the patient’s illness. Immediate relief will then be sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Fund to ensure timely treatment.
This initiative reflects MLA Madan Mohan Rao’s dedication to resolving the hardships of his constituency’s residents and his transparency in governance.
