Youth as the Backbone of National Reconstruction: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma

Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma emphasized the pivotal role of youth in national reconstruction, calling student power the true driving force of national development. Addressing the 43rd State Mahasabha of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Siddipet, the Governor highlighted ABVP’s commitment to national growth over personal aspirations.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Mahasabha, Governor Varma lit the ceremonial lamp and joined students in singing the national anthem. He praised ABVP for nurturing numerous prominent leaders and maintaining a strong focus on nationalism. “Every student should strive towards the vision of Swami Vivekananda to make India a global leader. Dream big, but also work hard to turn those dreams into reality,” the Governor urged.
ABVP’s National Secretary Ashish Chauhan noted the organization’s unique legacy of addressing social issues alongside educational challenges. He cited ABVP’s early advocacy for Hindi as the national language and its resilience in tackling Naxalism. Chauhan also emphasized the need for physical fitness and quality education for every student.
State ABVP President Jana Reddy highlighted the organization’s journey over 75 years, becoming the largest student organization with 5.5 million members. He pledged to expand ABVP’s reach in the coming years. Secretary Rambabu reiterated ABVP’s unwavering support for students, vowing to fight until their issues are resolved.
The event was graced by Medak MP Raghunandan Rao, Samajik Samarasta Vedika Convenor Appala Prasad G., and several national and state-level ABVP leaders, making it a grand occasion celebrating the power and potential of youth.
