Telangana Recognized Schools Management Association (TRSMA) President Sadula Madhusudhan has urged the government to retain the CGPA system in SSC public examinations, emphasizing its role in reducing stress, fostering conceptual learning, and promoting holistic education.
Highlighting the Andhra Pradesh High Court’s directives in W.P. No. 13629/2012, Madhusudhan cautioned against reverting to a marks-based system, warning it would increase student anxiety. TRSMA leaders stressed the CGPA system ensures broader evaluation through projects and assignments, benefiting all students, including those with average performance.
TRSMA appealed to revoke Memo No. 14572/SE.PToSII/A1/2022, which proposes returning to marks-based assessments, and reaffirmed their support for reforms prioritizing students’ mental well-being and development.
