Cockfight Racket Busted in Komaram Bheem Asifabad District

Acting on credible information, the Koutala police, under the instructions of SP D.V. Srinivasa Rao IPS, DSP Ramananjum, and CIP Ramesh, raided an illegal cockfight arena near the Palle Prakruthi Vanam in Janagama village. Led by SI N. Madhukar, the police team conducted a swift operation and apprehended individuals participating in the illegal activity.

During the raid, the police detained nine individuals and confiscated three roosters, ₹3,900 in cash, and three cockfighting blades. The detained individuals were identified as Kare Mahesh (25, laborer, Heerapur, Sirpur), Beevankar Chandu (50, laborer, Gudlabori), Urkude Santosh (25, farmer, Gudlabori), Kowa Pullikaravu (25, farmer, Thummidi Hetti), Vemulawada Sathanna (50, barber, Gudlabori), Dandera Pandurang (40, farmer, Gudlabori), Vadai Ravinder (30, farmer, Nagepalli), Sonle Bhimarav (34, farmer, Nagepalli), and Jade Tirupati (35, laborer, Veerdandi).

SI Madhukar stated that cases have been registered against the accused, and further investigations are underway. He emphasized the importance of community cooperation in reporting illegal activities and assured that the identities of informants would be kept confidential.
