Asha Workers’ Bus Yatra Poster Unveiled in Mulugu

In a call to demand fixed salaries of ₹18,000, along with PF, ESI benefits, and job security for Asha workers, the state-wide Bus Yatra poster was unveiled on Thursday in front of the Health Sub-Center in Mulugu.

Speaking on the occasion, CITU District Secretary Ratnam Rajender announced that the Asha Workers’ Bus Yatra would commence on December 15 in the Nirmal district and reach Mulugu on December 27, concluding at Indira Park on December 31. He reminded everyone that the Congress party had promised ₹18,000 fixed salaries for Asha workers in its election manifesto. He urged the state government to take a decisive stand during the ongoing Assembly sessions and fulfill this promise immediately.

He questioned why Telangana cannot provide fixed salaries for Asha workers when neighboring Andhra Pradesh has already implemented the system. Rajender called on all Asha workers to participate in large numbers and make the Bus Yatra a success.

The event was attended by Asha Workers’ Union District President A. R. Neeladevi, Raziya, Sujatha, Rajitha, Keetha, Kavitha, Nikhil, and others.
