Women’s Welfare a Top Priority

Government Whip and Dharmapuri MLA Adluri Laxman emphasized the government’s commitment to women’s welfare through various initiatives. Speaking at an event, he highlighted the Mahalakshmi Scheme, which provides free bus travel for women, as part of the Congress government’s six guarantees under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He assured that the government is prioritizing workers’ welfare, RTC preservation, and passenger convenience while striving to introduce bus services to every village.
Municipal Chairperson Aduvala Jyothi Laxman added that the Congress government is steadfast in implementing the six guarantees aimed at improving the lives of the underprivileged. She mentioned that within two days of assuming office, free bus travel for women and enhanced healthcare services with the Aarogyasri scheme limit raised to ₹10 lakhs were introduced. She also highlighted initiatives such as providing zero electricity bills for up to 200 units under the Gruhalakshmi Scheme and maintaining cooking gas cylinder prices at ₹500, ensuring essential services are affordable for the people.
The event saw participation from councilors, Jagtial Depot Manager Sunitha, Korutla Depot Manager, Metpalli Depot Manager, and other leaders, showcasing collective efforts toward ensuring welfare and development for women and the community.
