Vemulawada Rajanna Temple Fowl Allocation Sparks Controversy
DECCAN FREEDOM NEWS,
December 7, Vemulawada
A major controversy has erupted over the alleged irregular allocation of 49 temple fowls by the Vemulawada Rajanna Temple administration. It has been alleged that the temple Executive Officer (EO) violated norms by handing over 49 fowls to an individual named Rambabu on August 12, based on a recommendation letter from Minister Konda Surekha.
Traditionally, the temple allocates two to three fowls to farmers, but this unprecedented allocation has raised eyebrows among devotees and political leaders. The issue came to light after complaints from BJP and TRS leaders. Rambabu reportedly admitted to selling the fowls, and a case has now been registered against him at the Geesukonda Police Station in Warangal district.
Devotees and members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal, and TRS leaders are demanding an inquiry into the matter. They are questioning why the temple authorities allocated such a large number of fowls to a single individual, bypassing established guidelines.
Temple EO Vinod Reddy addressed the allegations, stating that an investigation would be conducted and appropriate action taken against those found responsible. Meanwhile, devotees continue to express their outrage over the perceived misuse of temple resources.
