Utilize Maitri Trans Clinic, Urges Collector Pamela Satpathy

Karimnagar, December 2:

District Collector Pamela Satpathy encouraged the transgender community to utilize the newly established Maitri Trans Clinic at the Government General Hospital in Karimnagar. The clinic was inaugurated virtually by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday as part of the Prajapalana Praja Vijayotsavalu.

The Chief Minister launched Maitri Trans Clinics and Government Paramedical Nursing Colleges across several districts. In Karimnagar, a Government Nursing College was inaugurated at Kottapelli Government Medical College, along with the Maitri Trans Clinic at the Government General Hospital.

Speaking at the event, Collector Satpathy highlighted the clinic’s significance in providing free medical tests and services exclusively for the transgender community. She urged transgenders to take full advantage of the facility, emphasizing the government’s commitment to inclusive healthcare.

The program was attended by District Medical Officer Venkata Ramana, Hospital Superintendent Veerareddy, District Welfare Officer Sabitha, RMO Naveena, and Sakhi Admin Lakshmi.
