Tourism Investment Summits Soon in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh announced plans to organize tourism investment summits in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati soon. During a review meeting held in his chamber at the Velagapudi Secretariat on Tuesday, the minister directed tourism department officials to expedite preparations for the summits and assess the progress of ongoing projects at tourist destinations.
The minister extensively discussed proposals received during the 2024 Investor Summit held in Vijayawada and emphasized the strong support from both central and state governments for the development of the tourism sector. He noted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s keen interest in advancing tourism and urged officials to complete pending projects promptly to showcase the department’s efficiency.
Kandula Durgesh also mentioned plans to personally visit tourist destinations to monitor the progress of ongoing development projects. He reviewed proposals from leading groups such as Oberoi, Mayfair, Taj, Hyatt, Mahindra, and Sterling, which expressed interest in investing in the state’s tourism sector.
Additionally, Home Department Principal Secretary Kumar Viswajeet met with the minister to discuss matters related to the cinematography department. The meeting was attended by Tourism Secretary Vinay Chand, MD Amrapali, EDs Padmavati and Seshagiri, Chief Engineer Narasimha Rao, Superintendent Engineer Eshwarayya, Consultant Satyaprabha, and other officials.
