Swachh Andhra - Swachh Divas Observed at Tirupati Municipal Corporation

The Tirupati Municipal Corporation, under the leadership of Commissioner N. Maurya, conducted the Swachh Andhra - Swachh Divas program on Saturday. During the event, Commissioner Maurya actively participated in cleaning the surroundings alongside officials and staff, demonstrating a hands-on approach. The team collectively pledged to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings.
Commissioner Maurya highlighted that, as per state government directives, sanitation activities are being organized every third Saturday of the month. The primary goal of the Swachh Andhra - Swachh Divas initiative is to achieve 100% door-to-door garbage collection by April 2025 and to ensure there are no garbage dumps in the city by October 2025.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness in homes, offices, and public spaces, and announced special measures to improve facilities such as restrooms and treated water supply in the municipal office.
The event was attended by Additional Commissioner Charan Tej Reddy, Superintendent Engineer Shyam Sundar, Municipal Engineers Tulasi Kumar and Gomathi, Health Officer Dr. Yuva Anvesh, Revenue Officers Sethumadhav and Ravi, Manager Haseem, DEs, Superintendents, and other staff.
