Public Governance Celebrations Held in Dharmapuri

Public Governance Celebrations were held at the local vegetable market in Dharmapuri town on Saturday under the auspices of the Dharmapuri Municipality. The event was graced by Dharmapuri MLA and Government Whip Adluri Laxman, who participated alongside District Collector B. Satyaprasad.

The celebrations began with the planting of a sapling at the market premises by the MLA and Collector, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to inaugurate the program. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector B. Satyaprasad expressed joy in being part of the event, which marks the completion of one year of public governance under the state government.

The Collector detailed the benefits delivered through the government’s six guarantees, including the Mahalakshmi Scheme, which has provided free bus travel for women worth ₹4.2 crore for 1.09 lakh passengers. Under Arogyasri, healthcare assistance worth ₹42.28 crore has been extended to 18,652 patients. The Gruha Jyoti scheme has benefited over 2.02 lakh households with ₹55.25 crore in electricity subsidies. He further stated that ₹72.1 crore in loan waivers had been granted to 80,515 farmers, while a bonus of ₹1.41 crore was distributed to 227 paddy farmers.

The Collector also announced the launch of the Indiramma Housing Survey via a mobile app to identify eligible beneficiaries for housing. The survey, scheduled for completion by Sankranti, will ensure the distribution of houses to the underprivileged.

Addressing the gathering, Government Whip Adluri Laxman highlighted the state government’s commitment to implementing all six guarantees effectively. He praised the district administration for successfully facilitating farmers’ loan waivers and timely procurement of paddy through procurement centers during the rainy season.

During the event, ₹5.63 crore in bank linkage loans was distributed to 41 women’s savings groups, while individual loans worth ₹68 lakh were sanctioned for three groups under the Indira Mahila Shakti program. Street vendors received checks worth ₹2.36 crore, and Kalyana Lakshmi checks were distributed to eligible beneficiaries.

The MLA also announced the government’s allocation of Young Integrated Schools for Jagtial and Dharmapuri, the establishment of an ITI College in Dharmapuri, and the launch of a Navodaya School in the district under a central government initiative.

Additionally, school uniforms were distributed to children, and essential items were provided to municipal workers. Outstanding employees were recognized with certificates of appreciation.

The event was attended by Additional Collector Gautham Reddy, Jagtial RDO Madhu Sudhan, Municipal Chairperson Sangi Sattamma, MRO Krishna Chaitanya, and other officials, municipal councilors, and public representatives.
