DECCAN FREEDOM NEWS, KOMARAM BHEEM, NOVEMBER 30

Minister Konda Surekha has announced a compensation of ₹10 lakh to the family of Morle Lakshmi, who tragically lost her life in a tiger attack in Isgam village, Kagaznagar, Asifabad district.

Expressing her deep sorrow, the minister stated that despite the precautions taken by the Forest Department, such unfortunate incidents are heartbreaking. She assured that, along with the compensation, all necessary support would be extended to meet the family’s needs.

The minister also expressed concern over another tiger attack on a farmer, Suresh, in Dubbagudem village, Sirpur (T) mandal. Upon being briefed by Asifabad DFO Neeraj, she was informed that Suresh, who sustained injuries, is now in stable condition and has been shifted to a hospital in Mancherial for better treatment.

The DFO provided updates on the tiger’s movements, stating that it has been spotted near the Maharashtra border. The minister directed the PCCF to conduct awareness programs for locals, particularly those working in agricultural fields or grazing cattle, to ensure their safety.

Minister Surekha urged the public to follow the guidelines issued by the Forest Department and remain vigilant during their daily activities.
