Kagaznagar Excise CI Conducts Raid on Illicit Liquor Production Units

Kagaznagar Excise Circle Inspector (CI), V. Ravi, has successfully conducted raids on illegal liquor production units in the villages of Lambadhetti and Ranavelli in Chintalamanepalli Mandal. During the operation, a total of 60 liters of illicit liquor (Nattu Saurai), 30 kilograms of jaggery used in its production, and 10 kilograms of “Patikini” (a key ingredient for distillation) were seized. Additionally, six cases were registered, and approximately 4000 liters of “Bellam Panakam” (a local liquor) was destroyed.
The raid was part of an awareness campaign on the harmful effects of illicit liquor, cannabis, and other narcotic substances. The campaign also aimed to inform the public about the negative social and health impacts of these substances.
Eight offenders were detained and presented before Chintalamanepalli Tehsildar Munawar Sharif for further action. The raid was carried out with the participation of Excise Sub-Inspector (SI) P. Lobanand, I. Suresh, P. Rajeshwar, and other excise personnel.
