Asifabad District: Concerns have been raised again over the well-being of students at Vankidi Mandal’s Ashram School in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, where five girl students reportedly fell ill. Members of the Tudum Debba Tribal Rights Struggle Committee, led by District Secretary Pendor Maruthi, visited the school and rushed the students to a nearby hospital.
Speaking to the media outside the school, Maruthi criticized the negligence of school authorities and government officials. “Despite a student’s tragic death last month, there seems to be no lesson learned. This continued carelessness is appalling,” he said. He urged immediate intervention to ensure the students receive proper medical care and called for accountability.
Maruthi warned that if such incidents continue and the government fails to act, there will be serious consequences. He emphasized that the lives of tribal students cannot be treated with such indifference and demanded immediate reforms to safeguard their health and well-being.
The Tudum Debba leaders assured the students and their families of their support and reiterated their commitment to holding the government accountable for the safety and health of Ashram School students.
