Differently-Abled Should Inspire Others, Says Collector Pamela Satpathy

Karimnagar: Differently-abled individuals excelling in various fields and professions should serve as role models for others, stated District Collector Pamela Satpathy during a meeting organized by the NGO “Youth for Jobs” at Taraka Hotel on Wednesday.
The Collector emphasized the importance of extending the organization’s skill development programs to rural areas. She urged the NGO to identify regions with a higher population of differently-abled individuals and conduct localized training programs, assuring full government support for such initiatives.
She also suggested organizing motivational sessions featuring differently-abled employees from government and private sectors to inspire others to join skill development programs. The Collector called for collaborative efforts with the Department of Disabled Welfare to raise awareness about Unique Disability ID (UDID) cards and initiate door-to-door campaigns.
Furthermore, she instructed collecting information on alumni from special schools for differently-abled students and supporting them in finding employment opportunities. She urged industry representatives and private organizations to participate in meetings to facilitate job placements for differently-abled individuals.
During the session, the Collector interacted with several beneficiaries of the “Youth for Jobs” program and learned about their experiences.
The event was attended by Trainee Collector Ajay Yadav, District Welfare Officer Sabitha, “Youth for Jobs” Founder Meera Shenoy, and representatives Sameer Nair and Madhusudhan.
