HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao Extends Support to Budding Archer Chikitha with ₹10 Lakh Scholarship

Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President and Akshara International Schools Chairman, Arshanapalli Jagan Mohan Rao, has stepped forward to support Peddapalli’s young archer, T. Chikitha Rao, who has been selected for the prestigious Archery World Cup and Asia Cup. Recognizing her talent and the financial challenges she faces, Jagan Mohan Rao announced a ₹10 lakh sports scholarship to aid her training and development.
On Tuesday evening, Chikitha met Jagan Mohan Rao at his Madhapur office to discuss her journey and aspirations. Coming from a humble background as the daughter of a farmer, Chikitha has risen to international prominence in archery. Moved by her determination and challenges, Jagan Mohan Rao assured her of comprehensive support.
To immediately assist her, he handed over a cheque of ₹50,000 and announced that Akshara International Schools would provide a monthly scholarship of ₹15,000 for the next five years to fund her training and related expenses.
“Chikitha’s story of perseverance and talent is truly inspiring. We are proud to support her journey and hope she brings laurels to Telangana and India on the global stage,” said Jagan Mohan Rao.
This timely support is expected to bolster Chikitha’s preparation for the upcoming tournaments and inspire other young athletes facing similar challenges. The initiative underscores Jagan Mohan Rao’s commitment to nurturing sports talent in Telangana.
