Highlighting the unparalleled role of farmers in society, former CBI Joint Director V.V.V. Lakshminarayana remarked, “In this world, the true God is the farmer. There is no VIP greater than farmers,” during his visit to Lakshmipur Village in Jagityal District. The event, organized by the Youth for Anti-Corruption (YAC) organization, aimed to honor farmers and villages contributing to national progress through sustainable and ethical practices.

The Lakshmipur Farmers Mutual Aid Cooperative Society, established in 1999 with 20 members, has now expanded to include over 500 farmers from four villages. These farmers cultivate Turmeric, Paddy, Chili, Groundnuts, Sesame, and various vegetables, supported by financial aid and cooperative unity. Addressing the gathering, Lakshminarayana emphasized, “Success comes when farmers work in unity, and crop rotation is key to profitability.” He encouraged farmers to embrace organic farming and food processing, stating, “What is produced locally should be enjoyed globally.”

The event was attended by notable guests including Retired Agriculture Assistant Director Ashok Kumar, YAC Founder Rajendra Palnati, YAC Media Secretary G. Jayaram, Komati Ramesh Babu, and FPO Chairman Pannala Tirupati Reddy, alongside villagers and YAC team members. Lakshminarayana pledged to advocate for Lakshmipur’s farmers in future forums, underscoring their role in building a sustainable and prosperous future.
