Sircilla, December 31

Sircilla town and Task Force police have busted a racket involved in manufacturing and distributing fake certificates. Five individuals were arrested, and various forged documents, stamps, mobile phones, and equipment used in the fabrication of fake certificates were seized.

Addressing the media at the Sircilla Police Station, District SP Akhil Mahajan revealed the details of the case. The arrested individuals include Siripuram Chandra Mouli, a retired teacher from Gandhi Nagar, Sircilla; Polu Prakash, a printing worker from Sainagar; Boddu Shivaji, a document writer from Sivanagar; Chiluka Babu, a farmer from Ananthapalli village in Chandurthi Mandal; and Bitla Vishnu, an advocate. Another accused, Silam Rajesh, is currently absconding.

The investigation began after a fake surety certificate was detected in a bail case. Chandra Mouli, the key accused, was found to be fabricating various certificates, including property valuation documents, age certificates, birth certificates, and medical certificates, using counterfeit stamps of government offices and institutions. These documents were being used for government benefits, including Kalyana Lakshmi schemes and other financial advantages, by misrepresenting eligibility.

The seized materials include six forged stamps from government institutions, 11 counterfeit documents, six pens, four mobile phones, and equipment for manufacturing fake stamps. A deeper probe into the case is ongoing, and the arrested individuals have been remanded.

DSP Chandrasekhar Reddy, CI Krishna, Task Force CI Sadan Kumar, and other Task Force personnel participated in the operation.
