Collaboration Key to Development, Says Collector Divakar T.S.

District Collector Divakar T.S. emphasized the importance of public and media cooperation in driving the overall development of Mulugu district. Speaking at a press meet held at the Collectorate on Thursday, alongside Additional Collector (Revenue) C.H. Mahender G, he outlined plans for progress across various sectors under the directives of State Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka.
The Collector highlighted the coordinated efforts of various departments to prevent the recurrence of past incidents and promote tourism to attract global attention. He urged journalists to bring both commendable initiatives and any irregularities to his notice, stressing that their vigilance could improve governance.
“From Corporate to Service”
Sharing his personal journey, the Collector revealed that he left a private sector job with a salary of ₹6.5 lakh per month to join the public sector out of a passion for public service. He underscored that government employees strive to balance family responsibilities with a commitment to serving the public.
Reviving Industry and Education
The Collector announced that the government has taken steps to reopen the closed Belt Factory, with complete information already submitted. Efforts are also underway to establish multiple industries on 400 acres of land and set up an oil palm factory in the district. Additionally, CSR funds are being utilized to enhance education in rural areas, equipping students with advanced learning opportunities.
Commitment to Transparency and Accessibility
The Collector assured the public that he is available to address their concerns and called on the media to bring any grievances to his attention. He affirmed that the district administration is moving forward strategically to achieve comprehensive development across all sectors, ensuring a brighter future for Mulugu.
