Union Minister Bandi Sanjay expressed strong discontent over the delay in the construction of Uppal and Teegalagutta Pallipalli Overbridges (ORBs) during a review meeting held at the Karimnagar District Collectorate. Criticizing the slow progress, Sanjay questioned the authorities’ failure to complete the projects despite significant delays, highlighting the inconvenience faced by the public.
He demanded that the authorities speed up the work and complete it by March, failing which strict actions will be taken. Expressing frustration over the excuses of land acquisition and electrical issues, Sanjay emphasized that these challenges should have been addressed earlier and criticized the lack of action from the various departments involved.
He also highlighted the importance of the Hassan-Parthi railway lane, which would reduce logistical costs and benefit transportation for both goods and passengers. Additionally, the minister congratulated the railway staff for completing 80% of the work on the modernization of the Karimnagar Railway Station and expressed his expectations for its timely completion.
Sanjay stated that he would review the progress of railway projects every month to ensure that no further delays occur.
