Adilabad district has been selected for the Chief Minister’s “Prajavani” pilot project, with applications set to begin post-Sankranti festival, announced District Collector Rajarshi Shah. On Wednesday, the Collector participated in a two-day training and awareness program for MPDOs and data operators at the Zilla Parishad meeting hall, providing guidelines for the project’s effective implementation.
The training focused on using a standardized operating procedure (SOP) for grievances received under Prajavani. Officials from Kisan Mitra and various departments such as agriculture, revenue, electricity, Mission Bhagiratha, and rural development were instructed on efficient grievance handling. Applications will be digitized immediately, and receipts will be issued to applicants on the spot. The system will send SMS updates to applicants, notifying them about the status of their grievances at each level.
The Collector emphasized the importance of mastering both morning and afternoon sessions of the training to ensure the project’s success. Application acceptance is scheduled to commence after Sankranti.
The pilot project is supported by the State Nodal Officer and technical assistance from the Center for Good Governance (CGG), aiming to create an efficient online portal for grievance management. The initiative is further strengthened by partnerships with local civil society organizations, including Kisan Mitra, the Center for People’s Forestry, the Center for Collective Development, Deshpande Foundation, and SAFAR.
