20 Drunk Drivers Fined by Court in Vijayawada

As part of efforts to prevent road accidents, NTR District Police Commissioner S.V. Rajasekhar Babu directed a special drive against drunk driving across Vijayawada on Saturday. Traffic Police from the 2nd and 5th divisions identified 20 drivers under the influence of alcohol during the operation.
These individuals were presented in court, where Judge Lenin Babu imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on each offender. The police emphasized that daily special drives are being conducted to curb drunk driving and ensure road safety.
Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu urged vehicle drivers to strictly follow traffic rules and the Motor Vehicles Act for safe and responsible travel.
