Devotees without tokens will not be allowed darshan during the Vaikunta Dwara Darshan days, clarified TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu. Addressing the media at Annamayya Bhavan on Wednesday, he emphasized that darshan will be granted strictly based on the tokens and timings allotted.
Following Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu’s directives to prioritize common devotees, token issuance will commence on January 9 across eight centers in Tirupati and four counters in Tirumala for local devotees. A total of 1.2 lakh SSD tokens for January 10, 11, and 12 will be distributed. The Chairman urged devotees to obtain tokens in an orderly manner and assured that tokens will also be issued daily from January 13 to 19.
Vaikunta Ekadashi darshan will begin on January 10 at 4:30 AM with protocol darshans, followed by general darshan at 8:00 AM. On Vaikunta Dwadasi, January 11, the Chakrasnanam ritual will be held from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM. Special darshan categories such as VIP break, senior citizens, NRI, and Divyangs will remain suspended for ten days, except for protocol-related VIPs.
Temporary accommodation arrangements will be made for devotees holding tokens, as online bookings have been suspended. TTD has ensured robust arrangements, including the deployment of 3,000 police personnel, 1,550 vigilance staff, and 2,770 CCTV cameras across Tirumala and Tirupati for enhanced security.
Special electric decorations and flower adornments will be added to enhance the festive atmosphere, with experts from Mysore Dasara engaged for the arrangements. Information for devotees will be disseminated through TTD information centers, SVBC channels, and radio. Devotees are encouraged to adhere to their assigned darshan timings to avoid crowding.
The Chairman assured that 7 lakh devotees are expected to have darshan during this period, with all measures in place to ensure a smooth and sacred experience for all.
