Vemulawada, December 31
The Vemulawada Town Police have arrested Regula Balaram, associated with the fraudulent chain marketing scheme under the banner of SS Eco Motors, following a complaint by a victim, Panduga Naresh Kumar. Naresh, a resident of Shabhashpalli RR Colony, was misled by promises of easy returns and joined the scheme by paying ₹21,000 to purchase an electric bike. However, he was informed that he would only receive the bike after enrolling three more participants, which he failed to do, losing his money in the process.
Vemulawada Police, acting on Naresh’s complaint, registered a case against Regula Balaram and SS Eco Motors management. The accused has been sent to remand. District SP Akhil Mahajan warned citizens to be cautious of chain marketing scams and avoid schemes promising quick money. He emphasized that such unauthorized and illegal activities are banned and that strict action will be taken against those involved.
SP Mahajan also urged individuals who have been duped by SS Eco Motors or similar fraudulent schemes to approach the police without hesitation. He reassured that the authorities are committed to ensuring justice for the victims and curbing illegal marketing operations.
