Savitribai Phule Jayanti Celebrated as National Women Teachers’ Day

In commemoration of Savitribai Phule Jayanti and National Women Teachers’ Day, a tribute ceremony was held on Friday at the Collectorate meeting hall. Dr. Justice Shamim Akhtar, Chairperson of the SC Commission, along with District Collector Rajarshi Shah and Additional Collector Shyamaladevi, garlanded Savitribai Phule’s portrait and paid rich tributes to her contributions.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries highlighted Savitribai Phule’s pivotal role as India’s first female teacher and her relentless efforts to empower women through education. They called for renewed commitment to her ideals of equality and social justice. Officials and staff from various departments participated in the event, marking the day with reverence and enthusiasm.
