The Telangana Adivasi Girijana Sangham (TAGS) and Telangana Agricultural Workers’ Union extended their full support to the ongoing Samagra Shiksha employees’ strike, which has entered its 12th day. TAGS District Vice President Kota Srinivas and Agricultural Workers’ Union District General Secretary Munjam Anand Kumar visited the strike camp on Saturday and addressed the employees.
Speaking on the occasion, they criticized the government’s apathy, likening its behavior to “promising action before crossing the river but ignoring commitments afterward.” They questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s earlier statements, where he claimed that the issues of Samagra Shiksha employees could be resolved in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea. “Is the Chief Minister not drinking tea anymore?” they mocked.
They urged employees to continue their struggle until their demand for regularization is met and assured them of their unwavering support. Furthermore, they called on the government to address the employees’ demands promptly, warning that further delays could escalate the protests.
