Excise Officials Destroy Prohibited Drugs Worth ₹58.15 Lakhs

Prohibited drugs from 40 approved NDPS cases were destroyed by the Drug Disposal Committee in Nizamabad district on Monday. The disposal took place at Sri Medicare in Jakranpally under the supervision of District Prohibition and Excise Officer (DPEO) K. Mallareddy.
The destroyed contraband included 548.15 kg of dry cannabis and 3.353 kg of alprazolam, with a total estimated value of ₹58.15 lakhs. The operation was conducted as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to curb the misuse of narcotic drugs and maintain strict enforcement of the law.
Officials emphasized their commitment to intensifying the fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse in the region.
