MLC Kavitha Extends Support to Family of Deceased Wankidi Ashram School Girl

MLC Kavitha visited the family of Shailaja, the girl who tragically passed away after consuming poisonous food at the Wankidi Ashram School. Highlighting the incident as a result of government negligence, MLC Kavitha expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with the grieving family.

Previously, MLC Kavitha had met Shailaja during her treatment at NIMS Hospital, where she assured the family of her support. Upon hearing the heartbreaking news of Shailaja’s demise, Kavitha personally visited the girl’s residence and provided financial assistance of ₹2 lakhs as announced earlier.

During her visit, MLC Kavitha emphasized the need for the government to fulfill all the promises made to Shailaja’s family, ensuring they receive the committed support. Accompanying her were BRS MLAs Kova Lakshmi and Anil Jadhav, who also expressed their condolences and pledged assistance to the family.

The incident has once again brought attention to the importance of ensuring safety and proper facilities in residential schools, with calls for stricter measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
