Basic Amenities to be Provided to Kawal Tiger Zone Rehabilitation Villages

Nirmal District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav has directed officials to ensure the provision of essential facilities to the rehabilitation villages of Kawal Tiger Zone, Rampur, and Maisampet. She held a meeting with officials from various departments on Thursday evening at the Collectorate Conference Hall to review the status of amenities being provided to the villagers and discuss the implementation of the Forest Conservation Act.
During the meeting, the Collector emphasized the importance of addressing the basic needs of residents in the rehabilitation villages. She instructed the officials to draft plans considering local opinions and ensure the welfare of the villagers while also protecting the Kawal forests.
The Collector directed officials to provide proper roads, electricity for residences, and access to safe drinking water. She stressed the need for initiatives to support agriculture and generate employment opportunities. Industries or self-employment schemes should be encouraged, and schools in the villages should provide quality education to secure the future of children.
Abhilasha Abhinav also urged the officials to strictly implement the Forest Conservation Act and focus on forest land protection, environmental conservation, and the restoration of natural resources.
The meeting was attended by Additional Collector Kishore Kumar, RDO Ratna Kalyani, DFO Nagini Bhanu, ZP CEO Govind, DPO Srinivas, engineering officials Ashok Kumar and Shankarayya, DTDO Ambaji, Land and Survey AD Sudarshan, Khanapur FDO Bhavani Shankar, forest officials Arun and Rajender, Tahsildar Sujatha, MPDO Aruna, and other officials and staff from relevant departments.
